Grump’s Cafe Crofton: Reviews & Ratings
Fast , reliable for food quality and friendly service . We have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The fast casual breakfast spot really works well here . We have never had a meal that we have been dissatisfied with . Today we got eggs Benedict and a breakfast club.
1st time, definitely not the last! Had breakfast, which is available all day. You get a unique table marker when you arrive, indoor and outdoor seating. Order in line and pay, go to your table and your food comes out, really fast! I had country fried steak over a waffle my buddy had omelet and rye toast with grits. Very delicious food, great staff and atmosphere too.
4.9. Honestly no complaints Had the Waffle stuffed with bacon with sausage and added a side of eggs (eggs were bland though). Total price was $23.77 with a coffee Order came out quick, they were busy for dining in on Sunday morning. Like around 9. Parking was cool. My star of the meal, the beignets. Not New Orleans but DEFINITELY the best ones I’ve had in MD so far. I recommend giving them a try!
First time here for the fiancée and I. The food was soooo good. I'd rather eat here than any local chain like ihop. The food is actually seasoned and not bland and you get good portions. The price is also not bad. My only bad thing is I wish they TOLD you that you have to figure out what youre eating before you get to cashier & that you find your table based off the number they gave you AND that everything including to go boxes are self serve. Other than that I love this place and will be back to try other things.
One of my favorite breakfast spots. Fast & friendly service + great food.
4.5⭐ Stopped here with my husband while in town. The service is quick and the food is good. I had the Spanish omelet. It was delicious but it is spicy! The breakfast potatoes were amazing--possibly some of the best I've ever had. My husband had the TOOZ. His pancakes were delicious and the maple syrup was super tasty, but you may want to ask for the cinnamon butter on the side--it has a unique taste that's not for everyone. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. You do have to order at the counter and get your own drinks, but food is delivered to the table.
I don’t know where to start! From the moment we walked in to when we got our food, it was a straightforward process. One of the employees gave us menus and directed us to the registers so we could place our orders before sitting down. The value of this place is amazing - the food is delicious and the price is great. The portions are awesome too! We tried the steak and eggs, pancakes, French toast, and beignets (a MUST TRY). Some of these pics were taken we we had already dug in because we could not wait haha The ONE thing I will say is they served our apple and cranberry juices without any ice. I guess we had to ask for ice beforehand? Not sure if it’s a regular thing here or if they just forgot but either way, it did not tarnish our thoughts on this place and we will absolutely be back. Definitely recommend!!
Located on the side of a small strip mall adjacent to Johns Hopkins Road and Route 3. Plenty of parking. Decorated with a bunch of odds and ends (signs, plaques, flags, etc.). Went there around noon for brunch/breakfast (breakfast is served all day). Ordering was a little different. You have to get a table assigned first (and it’s saved with a little plastic animal with a number), and then, you go to the cashier to place your order. The Veggie Lovers Omelet ($10.99) served with potatoes and the ‘Cat Head’ Biscuit and Gravy ($8.29). Both were very well portioned (had to get a takeout box to bring home the leftovers) and tasted excellent. Got a side order of the fresh fruit and another biscuit. Coffee had free refills. Everyone was very friendly. They did offer a military discount of 10%. Nice hidden gem. Look forward to returning.
